What Our Clients Say
Frequently Asked Questions
Do both partners need to be involved in treatment?
Not always. Individual therapy can lead to meaningful improvements in relationships,
though couples sessions are often beneficial. Sometimes I work mainly with one partner
and only bring the other in occasionally for couples or individual sessions.
Is this approach similar to couples therapy?
It includes relationship counseling, where needed, but also addresses emotional, medical, hormonal, and lifestyle factors that influence relationships.
How is this different from traditional counseling?
We consider the whole person—including mental, physical, hormonal, and sexual
health—not just communication patterns
Can this help with recurring relationship patterns?
Yes. Understanding underlying emotional and behavioral patterns can help create lasting change, as can correcting physiologic problems that repeatedly undermine relationships.
How long does it take to see improvement?
Some notice changes within a few sessions, while deeper issues may require ongoing
work.
